Isaac Cano

Postdoctoral researcher at Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS) and Associate professor, School of Medicine – University of Barcelona

(Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, 1983; BSc 2009 in Computer Science, MSc 2010 in Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence and PhD 2014 in Digital Health by University of Barcelona – Faculty of Medicine).

His fields of interest are data analytics, machine learning, soft computing and privacy preserving data mining for the provision of decision support systems. He has been involved in several research projects funded by the Catalan and Spanish governments and the European Community (FP7, H2020, EIT Health).

Recently, he has engaged in entrepreneurship endeavours in digitally-enabled integrated care services. He also has a broad teaching experience as associate professor of the University of Barcelona in the Master of Clinical Research, the Master of Biomedical Engineering and the EIT Health master on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Biomedical Engineering.

Moreover, he is also invited professor in the Biohealth Computing Erasmus Mundus summer school (European Science Institute, Archamps, France) and the Master in Biotechnology – Biomedical Applications, of the University of Barcelona.
