February 1st 2020 – Online abstract submission opens.
March 15th 2020, 23:59 CET – Abstract submission closes. Any abstracts received after the deadline will not be accepted.
April 15th 2020 – Notification of abstract acceptance or rejection. Abstracts authors will be notified of the status of their abstract, session formats and scheduling of presentations.
April 15th to May 3rd 2020, 23:59 CET – Accepted abstract presenter registration period.
 
Presenters of accepted abstracts must register online for Prehabilitation World Conference 2020 during this period (special fee for presenting authors).
 

ONLINE ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Abstracts for Prehabilitation World Conference 2020 should be submitted online through the dedicated submission platform.
The platform allows uploading PDF or Word documents.

The abstract submission process involves the following steps:

Registration as an author (New author button): please fill in the form

Submit communication (Submit abstract button): please follow the instructions

All information can be edited until the submission deadline (the abstract should be submitted again after each modification). Editing information will no be possible after the submission deadline.

ABSTRACT RULES

Abstracts should contain concise statements of:

  • Title: Short and specific
  • Background and Goal of Study: Stating the hypothesis or objective of the study
  • Materials and Methods: Describe methods used. Measurements, design and patients.
  • Results: Present the findings and outcome of the study in summarised form.
  • Conclusion(s): Give a simple answer to the hypothesis in the light of the new data from your study.
  • References (optional): Include up to three references, numbered according to order of occurrence in the text, with the corresponding number in the text.

Case reports can also be submitted and should contain concise statements of:

  • Title: Short and specific.
  • Background: Brief statement describing the underlying clinical problem.

 

  • Case Report: Summarise the information about the patient, evaluation and intervention performed.
  • Discussion: State the significance of the information presented.
  • References (optional): Include up to three references, numbered according to order of occurrence in the text, with the corresponding number in the text.

Detailed guidelines:

The organisers encourage early abstract submission in order to avoid any last-minute rush. Please read the following important information and guidelines carefully before you submit an abstract. Non-adherence to these submission guidelines may be cause for rejection.

If the abstract is accepted, the author commits him/herself to present the work at the upcoming Prehabilitation World Conference 2020. Presenters of accepted abstracts must register for the congress before May 3rd 2020.

The ten best abstracts submitted will be selected for oral presentation. Presentations should not exceed 8 minutes, plus 2 minutes of discussion.

The rest of the accepted abstracts will be exhibited in poster format in a designated area of the Conference. Poster printing is at author’s own expense. There is the possibility of poster printing by the congress organization.

  • Poster printing (includes set up): Coloured vertical A0: 75€ + VAT (Contact: info@prehab2020.com)
  • Characteristics:
  1. Printing area: 95x138cm (a vertical A0 printing is recommended)
  2. Resolution between 200dpi and 300dpi

Language: All abstracts must be written in English. Please write as simply as possible and review the abstract before submitting to avoid language mistakes.

Submission process: Abstracts can only be submitted online via the mentioned platform until March 15th 2020. Abstracts submitted by mail, fax or e-mail will not be accepted.

Authors: The authors will be published in the same order as submitted. The presenting author will be underlined and will be the contact author. The presenter’s full name and professional address data need to be entered. All authors’s affiliation must be entered.

Length: The abstract body should not exceed 350 words. Tables can be inserted in the abstract body, counting for 100 words. Author names affiliations and title will not be counted in the 350 words limit.

Font: Use a standard font like Arial when formatting your text. This will help prevent special characters from getting lost when copying your text to the online abstract submission form. Please remember to preview the final abstract before submission, and edit or replace as necessary.
